Baroda were reduced to 279/5 at thatstage.AP Bhoite (54) and M Maveda (62) added 79 runs for the sixth wicket,steadying the Baroda innings. Before being run out, Bhoite struckeight boundaries and a six. The heavy downpour stopped cricket for along while after lunch. The day’s play was extended for an hour tomake up for the lost time.Baroda kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Maveda was trapped infront by Shukla at 415, before being dismissed. Maveda hit nineboundaries.
